Data Security Your data security is important to us: All data is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage We use Apple's standard security frameworks No data is transmitted over the internet (except optional location services from Apple) Your data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID) If you delete the app, all your data is permanently removed from your device. App Permissions DeenCompanion may request the following permissions: Location Services (Optional) Why: To calculate accurate prayer times for your area When: Only when you open the app or when calculating prayer times Control: Can be disabled in iOS Settings; app still works with manual location Notifications (Optional) Why: To remind you of prayer times When: At scheduled prayer times you've enabled Control: Can be managed in iOS Settings Both permissions are optional. You can use core app features without granting them. Children's Privacy DeenCompanion is designed for users of all ages, including children learning about Islamic practices. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children or adults. All data remains on the user's device and is not transmitted to us. Parents: We encourage you to review this policy with your children and help them understand how the app works. Premium Features and Purchases If you purchase Premium features: All transactions are processed securely through Apple's App Store We do not collect or store your payment information Apple's privacy policy applies to purchase data Premium status is stored locally on your device You can restore purchases across your devices using your Apple ID Data Retention and Deletion Your Data, Your Control All data is stored on your device only You can delete the app at any time to remove all data Deleting the app permanently removes all your prayer tracking, bookmarks, and preferences We cannot recover your data because we never receive it If you want to keep your data when getting a new device, use iCloud backup before transferring.
